| | SoftBank phones are much more varied than [[phones:docomo|Docomo phones]]. Unlike Docomo, it appears that SoftBank allowed manufacturers to use whatever firmware and repair methods they wanted. This creates a situation where each manufacturer needs a different tool. On the other hand, some of the tools used for international versions of these phones are cross-compatible with their Japanese counterparts. |
