Introduction

Softbank Sharp phones are actually quite different from their Docomo Sharp counterparts. While they share the same FOMA port as the Docomo Sharp phones, they have a different CPU with a different bootloader. The firmware examples we have appear to use a Flat file system alongside a FlashFX 4.00 FTL, for which there is no documentation.

The Disney Mobile phones require a Disney USIM in order to read data.

Methods

Extracting Data

sddumper

sddumper is currently under development. More detailed instructions will be included once it is released.

To put the phone into the correct mode for sddumper, follow these steps

  • Turn off the phone if it is not off already
  • Hold the following keys: Left Soft Key, *, 5, Power

Reading Data

assemble_202sh

  1. Download the assemble_202.sh script from the Various Keitai Assemble GitHub repository.
  2. Place the assemble_202.sh script in the same folder as the nand dump and the oob dump. Make sure that both files have the same name, but the main nand part ends in .bin and the oob part ends in .oob
  3. Use the following command adjusted for your specific file name:
    python assemble_202sh.py <dump_name>.bin output_dir

Example:

python assemble_202sh.py 202SH_PF58F0033M0Y1BG-n_data.bin output_dir

The output directory will contain many .bin files. Look for the largest one and use TestDisk to acquire the data. Note that you may need to look at multiple file systems within the largest .bin file to find the part with games.

assemble_superand

You can download assemble_superand.py here.

  1. Place all files and assembly script into a single folder
  2. Combine any split NOR files into a single file
  3. Use the following command:
    python assemble_superand.py -c <config> <nor>.bin <nand>.bin output_dir
  4. Locate the largest .bin file in the output_dir folder and extract it with TestDisk

Example Command:

python assemble_superand.py -c 913SH 821SH_S98WS01GPGGFW002-f1f2.bin 821SH_S98WS01GPGGFW002-n_data.bin output

Configs

Any config will work for the phone it is named after. Additional phones compatible with the config are listed below.

  • 705SH
  • 905SH
  • 811SH
  • 911SH
  • 812SH
  • 913SH: 821SH
  • 921SH

assemble_934sh

  1. Download the assemble_934.sh script from the Various Keitai Assemble GitHub repository.
  2. Place the assemble_934.sh script in the same folder as the nand dump and the oob dump. Make sure that both files have the same name, but the main nand part ends in .bin and the oob part ends in .oob
  3. Use the following command adjusted for your specific file name:
    python assemble_202sh.py <dump_name>.bin output_dir

Example:

python assemble_934sh.py NAND.bin output_dir

The output directory will contain many .bin files. Look for the largest ones and use TestDisk to acquire the data. Note that you may need to look at multiple file systems within the largest .bin file to find the part with games.

assemble_f0

First, you must download the Various Keitai Assemble GitHub repository. We will be using the assemble_f0.py script as well as the tools in the utils folder.

The nor for this dump comes in two parts that need to be concatenated.

Examples:
Windows Command Line

copy /b SH700iS_LRS13B7-f1.bin + SH700iS_LRS13B7-f2.bin SH700iS_LRS13B7-f1f2.bin

Copy the concatenated file into the various-keitai-assemble project. The following steps will be different depending on what device you are trying to extract. The end result of all options will be an output directory with many .bin files. Look for the largest one and use TestDisk to acquire the data. You may need to use UNDELETE.

Note: If the following settings do not work, make sure to do a byteswap.
